Kasa Smart power strip is a must-have at this price

TP-Link’s Kasa smart power strip is a surge protector with 3 smart outlets and 2 USB ports

This smart power strip from TP-Link is the only one you’ll ever need

The Kasa smart power strip from TP-Link is a surge protector with three individually controlled smart outlets and two USB ports. It’s the only power strip you’ll ever need since it does the job of three smart plugs and two charging ports.

There’s no hub required to get going with the Kasa. It’s the true definition of plug-and-play. If you want to incorporate voice control, you can do that with Alexa or a Google Home device.

You can control the smart power strip from anywhere in the world through the Kasa Smart app. You can power up a smart air purifier, smart bulb, smart robot vacuum, or any other accessory that plugs in. While you’re at it, you can charge a pair of devices.

Since all three plugs operate independently from each other, you’ll never have to mess around with installing individual smart plugs in the same room again.

My favorite feature is the energy consumption monitor found inside the app. You can check on individual plugs to see what’s consuming the most energy and turn off that plug when needed.

Voice control through Alexa and Google Assistant works as it should, as does setup.

Kasa does not work with Apple HomeKit, which is the only bummer here.
