The weatherproof Aqara Smart Lock U100 comes with a fingerprint reader and keypad, allowing you to unlock your door without traditional keys. The Bluetooth-enabled deadbolt can also be unlocked with any smartwatch, including all Apple Watches and Android watches. In the event of an emergency or when you need someone to unlock your door who doesn’t live in the home, Aqara provides a mechanical key.
The Aqara connects to a free app, as well, letting you see when the door is unlocked, unlock it within the app, and view status.
Our only complaint is that this setup requires 5 AA batteries. AA batteries are still cheaper than packing in a pair of disc batteries, but we’d love to see a removable, rechargeable battery option in the future.
